Pennsylvania-based metal 3D printing company Xact Metal has reported record order volumes in both the second and third quarters of 2026, and has begun taking orders for its XM300G midsize metal 3D printer. According to a 3DPrint report on November 5, CEO Juan Mario Gomez said orders were up more than 30% year over year through September 2026.
Xact Metal positions itself around making metal 3D printing affordable for small and medium-sized manufacturers. In January 2026 the company reported 30% year-over-year order growth; it now confirms Q2 and Q3 as its best order quarters to date. On the product side, its XM200G single- or dual-laser machine continues to perform well in the market, while the newly launched XM200G μHD — which prints very small parts using metal powder around 22 microns (-22 μm) in particle size and a 25-micron laser spot — began shipping in the third quarter of 2026.
The XM300G series was first announced in 2022 as a line of midsize laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) systems with single-, dual- or quad-independent laser configurations, a 300 x 300 x 300 mm build volume upgradable to 300 x 300 x 400 mm, and an interchangeable build platform. According to the company, these features make the XM300G well positioned for a wide variety of production applications. Gomez said the XM300G is now taking orders as planned, with positive customer feedback and development on track to begin shipments in mid-2027.
