【AMNews】Evology Manufacturing is expanding its metal 3D printing capacity with the addition of an EOS M 400-4 system.

The ITAR-registered contract manufacturer has purchased the four-laser machine, though it has yet to be installed. Once online, it will bring Evology's EOS fleet to ten machines – eight metal and two polymer.

Alongside the investment, the company has also joined the EOS Production Partner Network.
Based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Evology blends metal and polymer 3D printing with traditional manufacturing methods like precision machining and tooling. The approach allows it to produce complex parts, functional prototypes, tooling and low-volume components for the aerospace, automotive, defence and industrial sectors.
With a 400 x 400 x 400 mm build volume and four 400-watt lasers, the M 400-4 will give Evology the ability to take on larger and more complex metal jobs – a need already being driven by its space customers.
"Our space customers are driving a backlog on our existing fleet of M 290s," said Chris Keidl, Vice President of Operations at Evology Manufacturing. "When lead times consistently stretch beyond two to three weeks, we add capacity. The EOS M 400-4 takes us beyond the M 290 platform with a larger build envelope, four lasers and automated manufacturing. It strengthens our ability to run bigger, more complex metal jobs and reflects our commitment to investing in the technologies that help our customers succeed."
"As more manufacturers turn to additive for production, companies like Evology are helping lead that transition," added Andrew Snow, Senior Vice President at EOS. "We're pleased to welcome Evology to the EOS Production Partner Network, a trusted group of manufacturers providing high-quality 3D printing services across a wide range of industries."
