Consumer 3D printer maker Bambu Lab formally launched its third-generation flagship printer, the H3C, on November 3. According to reports from ZAKER, IT Home and China's Nanjixiong, the H3C uses Bambu Lab's Swaptek multi-nozzle hot-swap system, equipped with nine nozzles that allow rapid switching between materials, colors and nozzle configurations, with the company claiming a 6-second head change. The machine supports high-speed printing of super-soft TPU and comes with dual 85° drying slots. In pricing, the standard bundle starts at RMB 16,499, with a RMB 1,000 launch discount; after state subsidies the street price can fall to RMB 13,999.
In positioning, the H3C marks Bambu Lab's upgrade on the multi-color, multi-material route. Compared with single-nozzle multi-material systems, a multi-nozzle configuration avoids repeated nozzle flushing when switching materials, reducing waste and speeding color changes. Nine nozzles let users load multiple materials or color combinations at once, spanning fine models to engineering polymers. Per public information, build volume and detailed specifications rest with Bambu Lab's official release.
Bambu Lab debuted its Vorteck multi-nozzle switching technology in 2025; the H3C brings that direction to flagship form. For the consumer market, the H3C pushes the functional ceiling of desktop printers with near-professional nozzle counts and multi-material capability, while subsidies bring the street price under RMB 14,000. The continued iteration of domestic consumer devices in multi-color, multi-material printing is extending applications once confined to industrial settings toward the desktop.
From an industry view, this is a flagship refresh from a leading domestic consumer 3D printing brand. Launch pricing, subsidized street price and feature set will shape the desktop market's competitive landscape over the coming year. Actual print quality, reliability and software ecosystem fit need on-machine and third-party evaluation. Per public information, H3C delivery and production ramp rest with Bambu Lab's official disclosures.
