UnionTech Launches Fuees450, a Six-Laser Metal 3D Printer for the Footwear Industry

Industrial SLA 3D printer maker UnionTech has launched the Fuees450, a new metal 3D printing machine built for the footwear industry. According to a report from China's Nanjixiong on November 2, the system's key features are a six-laser configuration and an interchangeable-slot (recoater/tray) design for batch production. UnionTech is based in Shanghai and is a leading domestic industrial SLA 3D printing vendor. Its A-shares have traded on the Shenzhen ChiNext board since September 2022, and it filed for a HKEX main-board listing in June 2026, part of an A+H plan.

Specific Fuees450 specifications rest with the company's release. From the naming and public information, "450" points to a format-size positioning, "six-laser" to multi-laser scanning for throughput, and the interchangeable-slot design serves slot or tray changes in continuous footwear production. Overall, the launch marks UnionTech extending from photopolymer equipment into metal additive equipment, explicitly targeting footwear as a vertical market.

Footwear is one application direction for metal 3D printing. Midsoles, molds and functional structures can be customized and rapidly iterated with metal AM; laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) is increasingly adopted in shoe molds and materials. UnionTech, which built its business on SLA, entering metal footwear machines aligns with its stated positioning of empowering 3D printing with AI and digital technology, and reflects a product-line expansion from polymers to metal and from general to industry-specific offerings.

From an industry view, this is a case of domestic metal 3D printer vendors differentiating by vertical specialization. As general LPBF machines converge, dedicated systems for footwear, dental and aerospace become a differentiation path. Actual throughput, material compatibility and production performance of the Fuees450 need on-machine verification. Per public information, full performance and order details rest with UnionTech's official disclosures.
